The Billsboro vineyards were planted in 2000 by Bob Pool, a distinguished viticulturalist at Cornell University for over thirty years. They are located above the winery to the west and sit at the property's highest point where they enjoy the moderating influences of Seneca Lake's microclimate. Our vineyards are predominately planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with smaller lots of Riesling, Syrah, and Pinot Blanc. Over the next five years we plan to increase the acreage with additional varietals, including Gamay, Vidal Blanc, and Riesling. While we continue to nurture our Estate Vineyards, we also purchase grapes from a variety of Finger Lakes grape growers.
