Dori Schnippert
Spring in Full Bloom--Watercolors
Living among a variety of farm animals and beautiful gardens on her homestead in upstate New York, artist Dori Schnippert is never at a loss for subjects. Dori works in watercolors, oils, and pencil. She is currently displaying a collection of spring flowers in watercolors at Billsboro Winery. Painting at Whortleberry Studio is a major part of Dori's life; however she also teaches secondary art, gives adult painting workshops and maintains a strong interest in art history through post graduate study. "Painting and teaching are so compatible; it's like maintaining two studios, one full of enthusiastic students and one full of solitude." Dori is one of the featured artists in Billsboro Winery's Plein Air Festival, to be held August 21-24.
Janet Russell
Landscape Artist--Acrylics
As an artist, Janet Russell has been drawn to the beauty of the Finger Lakes since her college days at Syracuse University. Since her recent retirement she has sought to build a body of work in which color and composition are used to punctuate natural scenes with a dramatic tone. Each canvas strives to offer something unique and different. Using different approaches in style and technique infuses the work with freshness and engages the viewer with the element of surprise. Janet is also a featured artist in our Plein Air Festival.
Ellen Lampman-Roisen
Ellen Lampman-Roisen is an artist living in Watkins Glen, NY. As a member of the Watkins Glen Art Trail, Ellen has a local studio with a focus on photography. Artwork content is regionally and environmentally based; appreciation and preservation of the Finger Lakes Region is a major influence of the work.
We are also currently featuring the work of Furniture Designer and Sculptor, John Lord. John is founder and creator of Riverbend Studios. John creates handmade and custom-order Wine Furniture crafted in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. John holds a Master's in Fine Arts from Syracuse University.
